Langkawi

This past weekend, we took a short 30 minute flight to Langkawi, another small Malaysian island.  Langkawi is much more of a tourist/resort island and we all quickly fell in love with this little paradise!  We spent almost the entire time at the hotel as the kids loved the pool and easy beach access.  The hotel had a restaurant right on the beach which we practically had to ourselves each morning for breakfast since apparently we wake up much earlier than the rest of the world.  The fresh sea air was amazingly refreshing.  Penang definitely has some unusually strong smells and Langkawi made us realize that even more.  We did make a visit to the local aquarium where the boys enjoyed seeing seals, (small) sharks, and in particular sting rays and penguins.

This trip was definitely a highlight of our time in Malaysia.  Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer!

Wesley's favorite part of the hotel was this boat on the beach he could "drive"

Happiness!
