Family Fun

This weekend we skipped the sight seeing and stayed close to home.  The boys have become active swimmers since we've arrived in Penang - they request pool time almost daily.  Calvin has turned into a little fish.  He can swim the width of the pool and back several times without any assistance.  He is also practicing some jumping and diving moves.  His favorite thing is when Josh throws him in the air and he can do a fancy move mid-air.  As I was watching his performance, he whispered in Josh's ear "throw me close enough so I'm not scared, but far enough so it is impressive".  Such a character.

Calvin's school held a Family Fun Day this weekend which included games and fun for the elementary age kids and families.  It included dart throwing, wet sponge throwing, ring tosses, a dunk tank, and bobbing for apples.  Wesley was a bit young for the games, but Calvin had a great time.

Although we are thoroughly enjoying our time here in Penang, this week it was tough to be so far from home.  Sadly, we lost Josh's uncle Carl very unexpectedly.  We are thinking of our family constantly and wish so much that we could be there during this time.  We love you uncle Carl.
