Monkey Business

This weekend we went in search of wild monkeys.  Josh and I both have vivid memories of these monkeys from our past trips to Penang.  We both remember them in large numbers (100+) at the Botanical Gardens.  We did a sales job and got the boys all excited to Go See the Monkeys!!  And then.... we walked for an hour through the gardens and did not see one monkey.  The gardens are certainly beautiful and a lovely place to visit, monkeys or not.

The boys were disappointed so we went in search of the Youth Park, which we've heard has nice playground equipment for the kids.  The GPS directed us to pull into a parking lot not far from the gardens.  We looked around and there was no park in sight.  There was a walking path and as we looked closer, there were monkeys all along the path!!   We had to make sure we kept our distance as the monkeys are known to be aggressive, particularly if you have any food. 
It turned out to be a great little outing for the whole family :-)
